David C Bradley (born 1961) was a professor of psychology and a prominent neuroscientist at the University of Chicago. He was the lead author on a groundbreaking series of papers published in ''Nature'' and ''Science'' in the late 1990s, elucidating the representation of motion in areas MT (temporal lobe) and MST (medial superior temporal area). He was subsequently chosen as one of the 4 "rising stars" in all of academia by the ''Chronicle of Higher Education'' for 1998. Given his position in the field, he is frequently invited to write high-impact reviews and comments. While he is best known for his work in MT and MST, he is also involved in cutting edge visual prosthesis research in area V1, which is carried out in collaboration with other institutions. In addition to being a scholar, he has successfully trained dozens of students and post-docs. While at the University of Chicago, Bradley published a series of much recognized papers on a range of issues including neural prosthetics, the size of neural decision pools as well the structure and function of area MT.
